Counseling for individuals and couples in Grand Rapids, Michigan (and beyond).
Dawn Jenkins provides therapy services for when life feels like Too Much — and You’re Tired of Holding It All Together
Midlife can feel like a perfect storm.
Your body is changing. Your parents may need more from you. Your kids are growing up but still need support. Your relationship may feel strained, or stuck in the same arguments.
And somehow you’re expected to take care of everyone - while figuring out how to take care of yourself.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, exhausted or unsure how to move forward, you don’t have to figure it out alone.
Reach out today to schedule a consultation and begin counseling services to build a healthier, more grounded path forward for yourself.
You Can Care for Others and Yourself
Therapy isn’t about fixing what’s “wrong” with you.
It’s about creating space to breathe, reflect, and make intentional choices — even when life feels complicated.
Together, we’ll focus on:
Practicing real, sustainable self-care (not the “just take a bath” kind)
Getting unstuck from patterns that no longer serve you
Learning how to move forward with clarity and confidence
Balancing your needs while caring for the people who depend on you
This is therapy for people who are capable, caring, and worn down — and ready for something to change.
In-person and remote options
Our office is conveniently located in metro Grand Rapids off I-96 and Cascade Road.
Can’t make it into the office? No worries – we’ve got you covered with teletherapy and virtual options.

Dawn brings a calm, grounded presence to her work and understands how complicated life can feel when multiple roles and responsibilities collide. As a therapist with more than 20 years of experience as a medical social worker, she has spent her career walking alongside individuals and families during some of their most stressful and uncertain moments. She especially enjoys working with individuals and couples navigating co-parenting and blended family dynamics, helping them sort through emotions, improve communication, and make thoughtful decisions that honor both their relationships and their children’s needs.
Dawn has a deep appreciation for the unique pressures faced by medical professionals and individuals living with chronic or autoimmune conditions. Balancing health concerns, demanding careers, parenting, and relationships can feel overwhelming, and she offers a compassionate space to slow down, reflect, and regain a sense of steadiness. Drawing from both professional experience and real-life understanding of blended family life, her approach is practical, empathetic, and collaborative—focused on helping clients feel supported, understood, and better equipped to move forward with confidence and care.
